Local Outreach
Grace Church is passionate about making a difference on the Northwest Side of Warren. We regularly participate in missions projects that benefit organizations in our community, like Someplace Safe—a shelter for women in abusive relationships. The Grace Church Food Pantry serves literally hundreds of people each month. Throughout the year, we provide fun events for families, including Trunk-or-Treat in the fall and Eggstravaganza in the spring. We also have strong relationships with Summit Academy and McGuffey Elementary Schools, where we partner with them to meet needs and help families in Warren.
Missions
Grace Church is passionate about making a difference in our community. The Grace Church Food Pantry serves hundreds of people each year. We are passionate about making a difference around the world, too. Operation Christmas Child gives children in impoverished parts of the world a box of gifts, including toys and hygiene items.
Friendship
As Cheers figured out, “Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name.” It’s much more fun to do at church with people who know you, like you, and love you! We were brought together because we love God and want to be more like Jesus, and that focus is essential for communities to grow through conflict in healthy ways. So being friends isn’t necessary, but it sure is more fun! Whether it’s just swapping names, or going to baseball games, Grace has a family atmosphere that you can be involved in however you feel comfortable.
Family Services
In many stages of life, families may find themselves in need of wise counsel. Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can become an issue in any marriage. Several couples at our church serve other families as marriage counselors. Their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.
Music & Worship
Worship is what realigns our hearts with God and energizes us to walk with Him throughout the week. Instrumentalists and vocalists can find a number of opportunities to serve others with their gifts. The Grace Church Choir sings each week, and blesses us with their talents each Christmas with a cantata.
Prayer
Prayer cannot be underestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.
